■This year marks the 55th anniversary of stand21's history!

Founded in 1970 by Yves Morisot in Dijon, Burgundy, France, stand21 is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year . Since its founding, the company has always strived to innovate and produce high-performance, impressive products.

Stand21 began in 1970 as a car accessory shop selling British-made racing suits, but the racing suits of the time were of a low standard in terms of both safety and comfort, and Stand21 became concerned about their quality, so in 1973 they began manufacturing their own racing suits. As a result, they were able to elevate racing suits, which had previously been simply fire-resistant clothing, into sportswear that added functionality and design elements, and by actively incorporating their own unique ideas, they established the foundation for the racing suits we know today.

In 1980, A. Jones became the first world champion to wear Stand21, which made the name Stand21 known worldwide. Since then, many drivers have worn Stand21, including A. Prost, A. Senna, and N. Mansell, as we all know. However, Stand21 has never sponsored a racing suit in its history.

In other words, stand21 racing suits are the racing suits that professional teams, which are normally sponsored in every way, choose and purchase of their own volition.

■ Only One

In the grueling race scene, where both the driver and the machine are pushed to the limits, the clothing that protects the driver must always offer both mobility and safety. Stand21 considers racing suits to be as important a part as the machine, and has pursued performance that allows the driver to fully utilize their technique from their own unique perspective. The suit is slightly tight around the waist and thighs, where movement is limited, while allowing for high freedom of movement around the upper body and arms, which are responsible for steering and shifting. The ST2000 model in particular is the first in the world to use stretchy Nomex III fabric. This not only improves athletic performance, but also breathability, resulting in even greater comfort.

(Now further evolved and developed as ST3000HSC)

■Quality

The primary purpose of a racing suit is to protect the driver's body. Protecting the driver from the most dreaded fire is a crucial element. While many products claim to use the same Nomex material, they are far from safe. Stand21's materials, selected after passing numerous rigorous tests including fire resistance and durability, along with ergonomically designed cutting and sewing methods, ensure unparalleled safety and comfort.

Top drivers, who are always sponsored by various items, only purchase and order racing suits from Stand 21. Only those who have actually worn them can know why they are chosen.

■Research and Development

Safety is the most important factor in motorsport.
Comfort affects racing performance and driving safety.
Therefore, Stand 21 must take a new approach to product development, identifying and testing new materials and equipment to create optimal ergonomic products.
Thus began our Heat Stress Research Program in 2004 and our growing ties with the medical community, particularly through the Racing Goes Safer Foundation. We always go beyond our customers' expectations.

Stand 21, the race driver's technical partner, has taken into account all factors that affect safety and race performance to achieve the current rating at the track.
For us, safety, technology and medicine are one and the same.
That's why our R&D department works in collaboration with motorsport medical experts: MD. Trammell (USA), Prof. Meistelman (France), Prof. Trafford (UK), Dr. Mineo Kawasaki (Japan).
This work ethic and modern manufacturing facilities enable Stand 21's products to meet the quality standards of today's motorsport sector (FIA, SNELL, SFI, CIK, etc.).

Heat Stress Control

The dawn of a new era of safety standards...

"If nothing had changed, NASCAR drivers would continue to lose their lives.

And honestly, I don't think we're watching NASCAR right now.

I think at some point Congress will have to get involved because we can't just stand by and watch our heroes lose their lives."
Dr. John Melvin, safety expert and NASCAR consultant on the death of Dale Earnhardt

Racing Goes Safer!, the safety foundation of Stand 21, is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote safety in motorsports. It is supported by medical and scientific organizations and major affiliates (FIA, SFI, NHRA, SCTA, SCCA)
We achieve this goal by working with SCORE… to raise awareness of safety issues and propose solutions to the world of motorsport. A new era of safety standards begins...

By bringing together data and expertise from governing bodies, universities, medical research groups and others, the Foundation will educate, exchange ideas and share safety information with the global motorsport community.
In 1970, there were only a few thousand motorsport racers worldwide. Today, the community has grown to nearly 1.5 million, 99% of whom are male. In this environment, motorsport safety foundations are more important than ever.

 Sustainable Development

Stand 21 is a company that provides safety equipment for a safer environment.

Since its founding, Stand 21 has been committed to providing the highest quality products and the best service in all areas of its business.

This naturally includes the environmental field.

This explains Stand 21's slogan, "We Stand for Safety and Quality."

Sustainable Product Value: Stand 21 products are manufactured with a policy of maximizing product lifespan.

A suit, helmet, or Stand 21 glove can last two to three times longer than similar products from other brands. This commitment to quality is born from our pursuit of customer satisfaction and ensures that our customers can use our products for as long as possible.

At Stand 21, we do not "waste" any materials or energy used in the production of our products.

Made-to-Order: In accordance with our product sustainability policy, Stand 21 fulfills orders in real time. Stand 21 avoids unnecessary inventory and avoids inventory by manufacturing over 90% of its race suits to order.

This means we don't keep old models in stock, allowing us to maximize resource efficiency in our manufacturing process.

Over the years, stand 21 has optimized its production tools and processes. This minimizes energy and resource waste in the manufacturing process. For example, we are now able to produce helmets with very little resin waste.

Furthermore, when it comes to suits, small pieces of unused fiber are recycled to make fire-resistant walls.

This is a testament to stand 21's commitment to conducting all its business in accordance with environmental protection guidelines.

Our fire-resistant fiber is Oeko-Tex Mark certified.

Environmentally conscious manufacturing: stand 21 does not use unnecessary or harmful materials.

Much of our packaging, including covers for HANS®, boots, helmets, etc., is routinely reused.

Our packaging boxes (cardboard, components) are made from recycled or recyclable materials (PEFC label), and most of our printed materials (manuals, catalogs, etc.) are printed by companies that support our recycling concept.
